Over the years, Sarah has partnered with Fortune 500 companies, utilities, privately held energy innovators, global OEMs, and renewable/grid technology developers to recruit engineers, project managers, executives, and technical specialists who make an immediate difference.
Raised as the only child of a U.S. Army officer and German mother, Sarah’s early life took her across Germany, Kentucky, Indiana, New York, Texas, and Ohio. Bilingual from a young age, she developed a global perspective that shaped her career. She earned her bachelor’s degree with distinction in Industrial Psychology from Purdue University and pursued her master’s studies in Business and Human Resources at Capella University. Today, Sarah and her husband Jeremy live in the Indianapolis area and enjoy spending time with their three adult children.
Sarah began her career in Human Resources in the early 1990s, working for manufacturing and electrical companies such as Kirby Risk, Siemens, and Saint-Gobain. By age 26, she was the youngest person in Saint-Gobain’s global workforce to earn her SPHR certification. Recognized for her leadership in contract negotiations, plant safety, and labor relations, Sarah built a solid foundation for understanding the unique hiring needs of technical industries. Later, she transitioned into executive HR roles within healthcare, eventually overseeing HR operations for networks with more than 6,000 employees.
Her passion for recruitment, leadership, and strategic human resources led Sarah to launch her own recruitment firm and HR consultancy, which eventually evolved into Power Careers LLC. Alongside Jeremy, she continues to help employers attract, assess, and secure top talent through proprietary assessment tools, technical vetting, and leadership evaluations. Known for her hands-on approach and commitment to aligning candidates with organizational culture and compensation strategies, Sarah maintains long-term partnerships with her clients while balancing her professional life with travel and time with family.
